19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his first title for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Now training with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks his maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has won 21 victories at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child her name, because the first title I won when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had caused commentators to wonder if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the final five games to take the lead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden professional title, took control to force a final set.
He saved four initial opportunities in a tight final set before the champion broke to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner clinched the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to control a volley after over two and a half hours.
