Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
